Emmalena Huning: In Recital

Emmalena Huning (violin) – alumni of the String Quartet of St George’s College, will be returning with Gladys Chua (piano) to present a recital of works by Bach, Franck and Korngold.

Emmalena is currently in Year 11 at St. Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls, on Academic and Music Scholarships. She started learning violin at the age of 4, and is currently learning under the tutelage of Emeritus Paul Wright. Recently at the 2017 Fremantle Eisteddfod, Emmalena took out 1st prize for the String Recital Open, String Solo and the AUSTA Overall Outstanding Solo Performer Award for the fourth time. These add to her 2016 wins of the Open Concerto at the Fremantle Eisteddfod and the Most Outstanding Performer Award at the North of Perth Music Festival.
