During the first week of term 3 College Warden Ian Hardy visited a number of schools in the Great Southern and South West regions of WA.
In Albany it was great to visit schools and meet year 12 students at St Joseph's College, North Albany Senior High School, Great Southern Grammar School and Albany Senior High School. Denmark Senior High School and Mount Barker Senior High School were also visited. Highlights of our time in Albany were dinner at the Hybla Tavern (owned by Georgians, the Dawkins family) with Georgians and parents of current College residents, and afternoon tea with Severin Crisp (1952) and his wife Jenny.
In Bunbury and Busselton it was great to visit schools and meet year 12 students at Georgiana Molloy Anglican School, Conerstone Christian College, Cape Naturaliste College, St Mary MacKillop College, Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School, Manea College, Bunbury Senior High School, Australiand Senior High School, Bunbury Catholic College and Dalyellup College. Highlights were dinner at Nicola's Restaurante with Georgians and parents of current residents.
Special thanks to the current College residents who came with us the the various schools to speak to the students about what it's really like to live at St George's.
