New freshers and their parents were welcomed to the College at the Commencement Ceremony on Saturday 16th September. After a short service in the Chapel and speeches from the Senior Student Genevieve Victor and Warden Ian Hardy, freshers signed the College Register and received their copy of Merry-Go-Round in the Sea.
This year there are 6 residents whose parents are both Georgians, including freshers Bill Wiese, son of Sarah Wiese (Davies 1989) and Tim Wiese (1989), and Harriet Wilson, daughter of Annie Wilson (Hale 1987) and Andrew Wilson (1988).
On Friday 1st February we had a wonderful Wine Dinner featuring wines from Frankland Estate.
Almost 40 of our residents are taking part in this year's Relay For Life at UWA on Saturday 13th October - we're so proud of them! Raising money for the Cancer Council is very close to home this year - College resident Oscar Devereaux is dedicating his relay to his mother who lost her battle to cancer earlier this year.
UWA Historical Society is searching for relatives of the UWA staff, students and alumni listed on UWA's World War One Honour Board
St George's College annual Photography Competition returns with $2000 in prize money. Entitled RED/WHITE, high school students from Western Australia are encourage to submit entries and win a share in the prize money.
Past and present residents of St George's College are encourage to enter in the special Georgian Category.
Closing date for submissions is 5pm Friday 13th October 2017. Entries will be displayed and winners announced at Spring Fair on Sunday, 29th October, 2017.
The Mascot Design Competition invited submissions from West Australian High School students and the Georgian Community (along with their families and friends) to design a mascot for St George's College. The mascot represented the three signature traits every Georgian is known for - cool, smart and zippy.
